They need Evans to be the defensive player they thought he could be on Draft Day. Quinn Cook and the other reserves were getting torched by Fred Van Vleet and Kyle Lowry last night. KD isn't gonna be there one way or another next year. Cousins is gone. And Klay sounds like he's out too.

They're gonna have to go back to building a solid core around Steph and it's going to be a great opportunity for Jacob if he isn't traded.

JE3 is not a replacement for Klay, he's a replacement for Igoudala if he leaves/retires...that's always been the plan. He doesn't need to score much and just defends everyone's best players under 6'10".

He obviously can't do a fraction of what Klay does but regardless Klay being out opens up a bunch of minutes at the 2. I always thought JE3s most likely role was defensive stopper and hit open threes. With Klay being their premier perimeter defender JE3 has an opportunity with Klay out. Livingston is expected to retire as well so there's definitely minutes to be had if he can prove himself worthy.

Golden State just drafted a shooting guard from Michigan at the end of the first round. Pressure is on Jacob now.

Looks like the Warriors play tonight at 10:30 on ESPN if I’m reading it correctly.

Didn't do too hot. 26 minutes and only 7 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists. 1-for-8 from the floor. 3 blocks and 1 steal though.

would have liked to see better overall stats in those minutes but still a solid performance. he had the face mask on still from his broken nose/concussion.

was awesome to see him starting. some of the other golden state guys were hot though - draymond, glen robinson, burks and damion lee all looked good last night.

they got the win too which is a bonus. if they trade russell, more regular playing time may open for jake depending what pieces they get in return.

Jake is still on the dubs. He's talking about DeAngelo Russell. That said, Wiggins is going to GSW.
