If the dissatisfied Eastern schools want to break away, go ahead and do so, but it will be a new conference.

The much more practical step would be to reform the AAC, Belt and CUSA into regional conferences. However, that kind of move seems to be beyond the leadership of these schools. They like to maintain their half step perception advantage of AAC over CUSA and CUSA over the Belt.

As an aside, there is not one team in CUSA that doesn't desire to move up. There is also not one team in CUSA that is above the level of conference competition.

I think the AAC has a bit more than a half step on us.

FINALLY......an intelligent post in this thread that makes since. 03-lmfao

Enough with dogging the AAC....I don't see AAC members griping and complaining about "travel" and being too poor to "spend $2,500 on a conference tournament trip", etc... and their conference stretches about as far as CUSA. Geez people...some of you east coast folks are just small time sports fans, yearning for your next bus league.

If you want the tournament in the EAST, just get some of your local cities to pony up the cash to host it. (crickets........haha!)
