5 women's conference teams make the women's NIT
MTSU, UAB, WKU, ODU & Charlotte are all in the field (they'll announce games and the brackets later tonight). CUSA and the Big East have the most teams in the field, with 5 apiece.

Looks like ODU women will play Villanova in the NIT on Friday, and ODU men will play Villanova in the NCAA Tourney on Saturday.

someone on twitter mentioned that the women's teams have to buy their way into the WNIT so a lot of teams turn them down

The buy fee is tiny compared to the men. You can host for 10k and the traveling team gets 7k

WKU placed bid to host and somehow Miami got it. They average 600 fans a game while WKU close to 2k a game...

Its just like the IAA playoffs, the higher bid gets the home game. They must have bid higher.

Pretty good night by CUSA teams in the WNIT and WBI. They go 4-1, despite playing only 2 of the 5 games at home. WKU beating Miami, Ohio (a top 50 RPI team) on the road by 4 is the most impressive result of the night. But also UAB hung on to beat Troy on the road in a high scoring game. Hopefully some of the CUSA teams get to host a game or two now.

Marshall also beat Davidson in the WBI 67-64 and will play Appy State Monday.
