Saying someone came up from middle class is fine. Americans love a success story.

Someone claiming they are middle class when they are a millionaire is not.

Joe Biden hasn’t had to worry about $$$ since Richard Nixon was President. Since then, he’s had the same firsthand knowledge of middle-class life as Donald Trump.

I have to give Joe some credit here, when he left the Senate he was one of the least wealthy, and there's little if any indication he ever profited or used his office to enhance his wealth. I would imagine his wealth did not increase significantly as VP, and that he has cashed in since he left office.
