Solution: rotate between Wichita and Cincinnati (and possibly Hartford)
UH has a fairly significant DFW alumni base. You might be surprised how many make it to a FW tournament

Other than short notice venue availability issues, this has great potential if attendance is the primary target issue. This approach will result in the overall highest cumulative attendance. But I would play the finals at a preplanned/selected neutral site that would not result in a home game for anyone. Good idea!
Lol memphis.
Nobody can do it better than us we're the bestest. We have the best basketball fans, so we will just argue for everyone gets a home game. Then we can still be bestest.
Lame.
Go back to cusa and play on two courts at once but count both games as one attendance. This is a big boy league, stay at home, the rest of us are going neutral site and showing out.
I saw maybe 20 Tulsa fans ... More than UCF ... but considering you are an easy 6 hour drive from Memphis ... Sheshup !!
So much butt hurt on this thread.
You all talked **** on everybody. Memphis didn't turn out even for Memphis games in Memphis and you want to call out traveling fans none of which are closer than a 6 hour drive and almost everyone of which is greater than eight hours away....
We'll compare attendance to the last couple years but I doubt anything but the Memphis games are better and not much better even for those.
Next year will be better, just to not have to listen to lane excuses from embarrassed Memphis fans will make it better.
Are you the appointed or the self-appointed spokesman for all 50 Tulsa fans or just jealous?

I guess from your point of view, these kind of things are very important to you. Here's a cold hard fact for you: Tulsa will always be irrelevant and they bring absolutely nothing to this conf.

Don't care where it is, just whichever venues pays the most. If that's @ Memphis I'm fine with it. Appears it's not the next three years.

What would you expect from someone thinking a big crowd is 4-5 on the gazebo?

Put it in Cincinnati. We're in the finals every year anyways.

Cincy had their chance to bid the tourney. BTW, is there an 8K-9K neutral site arena in Cincy? If so, I'm all for it.

Damn, Tulsa's getting the Tulane treatment. The struggle is real out in Oklahoma.

Forever has to be beside himself. Clown spent months hero worshipping Tubby and telling us “peso” (as he calls penny) couldn’t coach. Low and behold, the Golden Showers lost a game to Penny and forever had to watch as PH coached Memphis to an identical 21-13 record and semifinal game as Tubby did last year against a much more difficult schedule this season. Only this year we went 11-7 and finished 5th instead of 10-8 and 6th plus that NIT thing & the 100 spot Ken Pom jump.
Oh, and Memphis is bringing in an elite class while TU loses Jeffries & Taplin but remains stuck with Haith. Lol you and the other 24 people who go to the Reynolds Center enjoy!

Yup, ya got me. Clearly I'm the one on here defending....oh wait.
Lol Memphis.
Shouldn't you be asleep?
I understand most Memphis fans have to work extra hours, trying hard to take care of payday loans for the AAC tourney all session passes they didn't use.

So funny to see a Tulsa fan talking attendance smack. Maybe you could get your other 7 season ticket holders to come on here and join you. Tell us some more about how “peso” can’t coach

Boom! Fixed! Lol
I give a dam. But unfortunately, most middle class give a dam people can’t afford the huge travel expense. Just a fact.
Driving down from Iowa, I dropped at least $1500 which is a big bite when you're retired. And that was just me, the wife stayed home. The hotel downtown alone cost $900 and it was just the Comfort Inn for 4 nights. Sky high hotel rates for the tourney plus the horrible room tax.

Do not feed the troll when he or she makes trollish comments. Fortunately, no one forces anyone to post responses.
Remember, fear and envy (among other factors) drive Memphis phobia. Just observe and smile...

No one, to my knowledge, objects to Wichita hosting the Tourney. The city and school, however, failed to offer a better package (e.g., more money) than Ft. Worth.

Add Dayton and VCU, play the tournament in Cincinnati or Dayton.
