Impressed by Jim Shaus' introductory press conference. Interesting that Dr Noland chaired the search committee. We are so lucky to have Dr Noland at the helm.

The usual topics of recent years - departures and additions — didn’t enter the conversation. How long the stability? No need to add at present, in my uninformed opinion. Doesn’t look like it’s on the SoCon agenda for the foreseeable future? Departures — who and why at present? On that glorious day in the future, a conference of the east division members of the Sun Belt, some other usual suspects, and ETSU?

I agree - where's the beef? One can only hope that in private discussions with the various ADs and prezs that more substantive issues were brought up and hashed as need be. I think I robot could have done 3/4 of that.
