A10 Championship: #4 St. Bon's vs. #6 St. Louis
The A10 is gripped with madness. #1 was dropped by #8. #3 loses to #6. #10 beats #7. In the end, it's #4 St. Bonaventure vs. #6 St. Louis. Commissioner Bernadette McGlade (sounds like a girl in my confirmation class when the Archbishop showed up) is not sure which Saint she will pull for in the championship game on St. Patrick's Day. (Are we sure this isn't the Big East, aka the CYO league?)

*note: C.Y.O. was a Catholic parochial youth basketball league popular from the 1950s-70s.

Very happy for SLU with yesterday's A10 Championship. It has been a roller coaster couple of years for their program - between the height of the Majerus years, down to the basement of the A10 under Crews, back to the top again under Ford.

I would love for SLU to be extended an invitation to the Big East sooner rather than later. I believe they have immense long-term potential, especially given the resources the Big East provides, and would provide strong value to the league's members in the long-run.

Sooner or later the Big East will be raiding the A10 again. Fine with St. Louis going as they are outside the footprint more than anyone else. Dayton could go as well, but heard a bit about Xavier blocking that action, hence the 11 team talk a while back.

Exit fee is 1 Million with more than a years notice, otherwise 2 Million.

You make back the exit fee in one year of Big East TV, and an extra $1M, then $3M more per year after. The Big East might well forward a $1M to help.

That exit fee wont stop anyone.
