Well. Looks like I have to apologize to Jeff Jones. He single handedly has pulled ODU into the finals and will earn his first trip to the NCAA in his ODU era.

Looks like the WKU fans got their wish, a shot at us away from the Ted. I must say my hopes are low. We haven't been playing well and required two miracles to get here. WKU has the talent and it looks like they are clicking just in time. WKU trending up and winning their games comfortably.

Yet, anything less than a win will be a disappointing end to the season. Mid major life.

No matter what we do, we can't seem to get away from the smell of #2.

This game starts at 0-0. Heck, even if it started 21-0, we can still pull it together and have a chance. Key is Zip and the X factor. Need to keep them going if they follow the strategy of taking away BJ.

WKU has beaten Wisconsin, Arkansas, St. Mary's and West Virginia. ODU has beaten Syracuse. I personally think either has an excellent chance of keeping the streak alive.

If ODU plays like we did during the last 4 games then the answer is obviously WKU but if our Guards wake up and we start playing focused again then i would say ODU because While WKU is more talented they were inconsistent. In reality we both might and we both might not. But i really hope who ever wins CUSA win at least couple of games in the NCAA tourney.

I wish I could say that ODU will definitely continue the streak but their skin-of-their-teeth approach to the past two games and the likelihood of a 13 or 14 seed instead of the 11/12 that seemed possible two weeks ago makes me dubious.

We've only played like an NCAA Tournament team about 5 minutes of the CUSA Tournament. The rest of the time we've stunk it up. If we can bottle those 5 minutes and spread it out over 40, I would feel pretty confident. However I doubt that's gonna happen.

Agreed. Like it or not vcu certainly counts as good win. If odu and wku had been consistent in ooc and conference games this could have easily been a 2 bid league. I’d say closer than any other year.

Not as close as 14-15 when we were 11-1 OOC and beat LSU and VCU when VCU was #14 and LSU was ranked something like 23. Then we shat the bed and lost a few 300+ games in conference and the 1st round of the tournamentand were in the first 4 out. That was the year we cracked the top 25 and were considered a lock most of the year.
