The NCAA hates titty bars...

The problem is that UofL owned the bars and employed the help.

Actually they were -- at best -- sub contractors.

In U of L's case, it would have been better had they GONE to strip clubs. In terms of "talent", and expense.

However ... that is still illegal. All recruits sign a post-visit document that has them sign off on "not going to any of the following types of establishments" .. strip clubs is one of those listed. A fairly new development (past 10-15 years? It wasn't around in the late 80's early 90's) in the world of the NCAA.

The NCAA doesn't take into consideration cooperation anymore.

Louisville not only fully cooperated, they turned over everything they discovered in their investigation into stripper parties/hoes-fo-sho scandal ... and based on the $2600 or so "value" of low rent chicks for hire gave U of L, self imposed a post season ban (when they were looking at a top 4 seed minimum in the big dance, not like Syracuse when they knew they were gonna miss the dance anyway), and schollie reductions, plus other recruiting sanctions on visits, and on-the-road travel for assistants ... and the NCAA STILL brought down the hammer. Yanking over 100 victories, a national championship banner, and two final fours.

North Carolina did the smart thing, and fought the NCAA like a cornered badger, and wasn't touched.

Noone in the ACC should look at these two examples and think that cooperating with the NCAA is the right course of action.

Georgia Tech should lawyer up, and tell the NCAA to F-Off like UNC did.

Unless of course, they WANT a reason to jettison young-curly-headed Pastner. Then cooprate like hell .... and launch Pastner into CUSA or the Sun Belt.

Notre Dame is another example. The NCAA never would have known about those academic violations if they didn’t make them public. Notre Dame suspended the players immediately & did everything the right way & the NCAA still hammered them. Yet the NCAA said in the NC case that they don’t get involved in academics.

In Louisville case the NCAA had to make up a rule that still isn’t on the books to artificially elevate the infraction level instead of allowing the players pay back the $2600 like others have. The NCAA interprets their rules anyway that fits their agenda & if a rule doesn’t exist they’ll just make one up. There aren’t any clear guidelines or standards for the various COI to follow.

Josh Pastner was cleared of any wrong doing in the NCAA violations. It's not possible to fire him for free.

What is so funny is that Josh Pastner was friends with Ron Bell and brought him to Georgia Tech.... If the AD wanted to get rid of Pastner they could. All of this happened under his CJP.... IF CJP was nevered hired, this would not have happened, seems to me that CJP is a big time KISS ASS and the AD doesn't see it or really likes it!

With the transfers coming in he was unlikely to see much playing time. Both of the transfers out were people who largely sat on the bench. Pastner would have no shortage of motivation to keep them on the bench if he thought they might transfer, because Pastner needs as many scholarships to 4*+ players as he can possibly hand out right now.
