NCAA tournament
According to ESPN's Joe Lunardi Bracketology ... he has NU a #13 seed playing #4 Kansas in Salt Lake City.

http://www.espn.com/...ll/bracketology

As long as NU is a 13 seed I'm good with it. Obviously a tough matchup though.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that NU can end up in Hartford!

Yeah, not a good matchup. We lucked out four years ago with Note Dame. Talented but not great size or speed. I'm ready to roll the dice and hope for someone other than Kansas.

Would be interesting to play Terrence Mann and FSU.

I dont mind Kansas this year. Honestly I was worried about ND in 2015. I'll take whoever.

FSU plays Virginia tonight@7:00 on ESPN.

Looks like we had two common opponents this year. Virginia Tech (FSU beat them twice) and Syracuse (FSU clobbered them.)

Against VT, we were without Occeus and Pusica barely contributed because of a broken wrist. VTs best player Robinson also wasnt injured against us. I think VT is a top 10 team when healthy. They were awesome.

Hartford is ideal because of proximity obviously. Selfishly for me since I live in the middle of the country these days Tulsa would be nice. I'd like to make it to the game if I can get work/flights to work out.

I understand that. That's why I didn't include our scores. They are meaningless.

I can do Hartford if the first game is a Thursday-Saturday bracket.

Will be hard to go anywhere else ...

We get Kansas. I've had years and years of hating Kansas because my brother went to Mizzou. I watched Kansas play once this season and they were terrible. I am pumped for this matchup. Go NU!!!

I am glad you got a #13 seed, and this has not been a great year for KU. So go do it for the CAA!

RE: NCAA tournament
Your trip to Salt Lake City is similar to Maine's FCS Quarterfinal trip to Weber State, which is 36 minutes north of where you're going. Maine flew across the country twice in under 24 hours rather than sleeping in Utah. Maine won that game and lost the next week at Eastern Washington.

I'm happy you're not playing Florida State, who I like. The 12 seed in your region is New Mexico State, who is 40th in the NET and is 30-4 (28-4 vs. Division I). I'd love if you or New Mexico State became the worst seed ever in a Final Four.

I'm waiting for the times to be announced.

Edit: ESPN+ previewed each team. http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketb...rn-huskies is for you. If you do not pay for ESPN+ and want to read the preview, you can pay $4.99 for one month that will include articles, college games in many sports, every Major League Soccer (MLS) game unless it is on a national TV channel that isn't part of ESPN, and every soccer game from Italy's Serie A (one of ten games are on TV and the other nine require ESPN+).

The CAA posted https://s3.amazonaws.com/sidearm.sites/c...mation.pdf which shows the Selection Committee rank of every team. You were the worst 13 seed, and Kansas was the best 4 seed.

RE: NCAA tournament
Lunardi had is facing FSU, Purdue and Kansas. I didn't want FSU....too quick, too deep and with us beating them the last time we met...no chance of them looking past us. I wanted Purdue...not too big ...except for a seven footer who only plays twenty minutes a game...and a team who relies heavily on one guy...a guard...for points. We GOT Kansas. Don't know how we are going to deal with 6'9" Lawson but not exactly a hot team right now or that deep. Just glad that we held on to a 13th seed.

Evan, it was great to have that matrix thing as Championship week played out. Thanks for sharing. Best of luck against NCS.

I am very pumped to play Kansas. They are a blue blood team on an off season. I think I'll be able to drive to Salt Lake City (15 hr drive for me). Depends of work. Really excited.

STL, if we win and you missed your chance to be there you'll regret not making that drive.

RE: NCAA tournament
I knew when I saw Kansas on TV that NU would be next to appear. Lunardi was pretty close with NU playing KU, FSU or Purdue.

As long as we take care of the ball and get some rebounds to limit second chance opportunities, I think we can beat them.

Interesting that Lunardi had us as the best 13 seed and the matrix had us as second best. Both had Vermont third best with Yale as the worst. Does the Committee look at some factors differently than everyone else?

RE: NCAA tournament
Also noticed that our RPI, which is no longer taken into consideration, is 48th while out NET, which replaces the RPI, is 78th. Thanks, Rules Committee.

PS. I see that Hofstra went from 50 RPI to 76 NET.
