Looks like they strictly adhere to a 5pm quitting time. Got about half of the track turn dug up today.

Bonus: You can also see the site prep for the new dorms going on in the background.

What does the rendering of the new end zone facility look like? I have been very impressed with the facilities academic and athletic going up at App over the past decade.

A word of caution in that last photo. During the last Yosef Advisory Board meeting Gillin dropped the bomb there would not be any seats at field level. That was something the architect tossed into the drawing. Personally I think it stinks. Those ground level endzone seats would be a huge improvement to the look of the facility. Hopefully they will quickly be added, if nothing else than for the Marching Mountaineers.

I think 0 GA seats in the end zone would be a mistake. 10 rows at least but hey, the donors paying to build this thing want to be close to the field and they'll get what they want. There was also uh-LOT of talk from fans about not blocking the view of the mountain behind this so maybe the goal was to keep the vertical footprint as low as possible.

Moving the hill closer to the end zone would make up for losing any GA seats in the new project. However having a section at ground level for the marching band is a good idea.

Not having the lower section of seating is a huge mistake. It's going to look unfinished IMO. Why even release a photo showing those seats if they won't even be there?

Is it just that a lower section of seats aren't part of the facility / Could they be added later and simply not attached to the building during this part of the project?

Before I pass judgement I'd like to see what the final project renderings look like. But if we're just taking the last rendering and simply deleting the lower section, I can't imagine how that would look good at all.

I wish for once we would put together a multiphase project to plan ahead so it isn't so piecemeal...

Agree, I know money is tight, but I hate piecemealing.

If KBS wasn't sitting on top of a mountain of rock it would be a lot easier. But it is what it is. I have no doubt it will look good.

A plan needs to be in place to add fascia to bring the rest of the stadium's appearance up to whatever we build.
