Obviously the face of this whole ordeal is Pitino and ADIDAS as well as all the guys like Dawkins who just had their days in court. But are we getting closer to a coach or coaches finally being the whistleblower to the entire process? It has been known a long time that this goes on, I personally am glad its all starting to come to the surface and hope it breaks soon where the NCAA can have some real reform and make a more level playing field in the major sports.

With how much scrutiny is being put on this topic, coaches are obviously going to continue to pay for recruits to come to their schools and tighten up the security of "how it gets done". Do you all think we are close to a whistleblower coming forward and explaining the whole process and how it stays hidden and just how much money is flowing?

I'm all for a bunch of whistleblowers coming forward. Something (or a lot of somethings) is wrong with the value set in college athletics, and money is a big, big problem.

It's clear that the money from the TV contracts and the demand to win for national notoriety has totally corrupted college football and basketball. College sports MUST get back to the basics of what it was intended to be...extracurricular activities to support their academics.

The NCAA needs to stop allowing it to be used as a minor league system for the NBA. And they need to get rid of players who use college athletics for the sole purpose of being a stepping stone toward the NBA. Only players who truly want a college education should be playing college sports.

In order to make this work, the NBA needs to step up and expand their minor league system. They clearly have the money to do it. This way, the one and done's who don't really want to be in college can go right from high school to the NBA Minor Leagues, just like with baseball. If this happens, the quality of talent in CBB will go down. But I think that real college basketball fans will be OK with that, and college basketball will be better off for it.

Just like in MiLB and MLB, there will be room in the NBA for players who skipped college and those who decided that college was important to them. Great player won't be penalized for going to college and getting a degree first.
