What's left if CUSA can seek out LIU-Brooklyn, Stoney Brook, Albany and BU and Tufts. ER says that will solidify the NY and Boston markets.

West coast?

The only school close to the West Coast is UTEP which is closer to San Diego than to Houston.

As much as i like UTEP and their fans you guys belong in MWC not the freakin CUSA.

I agree with you 100%

But UTEP football and basketball is part of the problem in C-USA. We’re just glad we have a real conference to call home unlike our rival NMSU.

Yeah I like UTEP, but they really do belong in the MWC, and that's probably where their fans would prefer to be.

I would love to see the tournament at an attractive destination. Nashville would be my preference. As far as conference realignment, I would not trade any of our cusa brethren for anyone in the sunbelt. Terrible schools that I would not want to be associated with.

West coast?

Mistake....east and central if the split could work. Should increase travel opportunities for fans and reduce travel expenses.

The Commissioner should definately be fired and someone who thinks out if the box and more aggressive about T V rights. The Stadium and CBS Sports coverage I thought was embarrasing for the basketball tournament.

RE: Ideas to improve C-USA
We don't need 15 different pages of fan discussion to improve CUSA. Its rather simple. Constantly win OOC in any sport and that will bring recognition and dollars. I know its obvious but if ODU and WKU have taken care of business OOC with out leaving a doubt we will be taking about two CUSA teams in the tourney rather than watching multiple ******* OVC and A10 teams that have lost of CUSA teams during the season being comfortably in while we are left out to hang dry year in and out.

I think it's a good idea in theory, but in practice it's awful for attendance. People pick one or the other to go to, as two games in 3 days is a lot for people, and no offense to anyone, but the basketball in this league isn't "can't miss." Years ago, we averaged about one home game per week.

I get that it saves us money on travel, but I wonder how much it's costing us in other areas. It's also hard for us to watch other teams in CUSA, as we are all playing at the same time. I'd normally try to watch all the CUSA games I could, but you can't with this schedule, unless you record them.

Would love to stagger the schedule, and get men and women on different nights.

Short of moving the basketball tournament out of Frisco to a location on the east coast, this is the single best thing that can be done to improve things.

Back when we were in the CAA the men and women played on a Wednesday/Saturday and Thursday/Sunday schedule (at least I think that is what it was). It was beautiful. None of this both teams playing on the same night nonsense. You could follow both programs easily. Sure I may have been at The Ted four nights in one week but my next weekend was free. I find myself now skipping women's home games to stay home and watch the men play on TV as long as it is not on CUSA TV.
