Hulu Live TV and Playstation Vue add ACCN
Nice additions for the ACCN. Hulu shouldn't be much of a surprise since Disney will have a controlling interest shortly. The article also notes that DirecTV has been signed, which is huge because they are the second largest multichannel distributor (MVPD) after Comcast.

Quote:As of today though ACC Network has announced that DIRECTV, Google Fiber, Hulu Live TV, Layer3 TV, Optimum, PlayStation Vue, Suddenlink, and Verizon Fios will carry the ACC Network. (Currently, only DIRECTV is listed not DIRECTV NOW.)
Optimum and Suddenlink are owned by Altice, which agreed to carry ACCN last year.

Yep, the DirectTV is the huge new, especially that not coming down to the wire. That, along with the over the top options, means that the remaining companies will have to go ahead and do the deal.
If you're in Comcast country, it doesn't really matter if Spectrum has it, because you can't switch to Spectrum. But now that anyone anywhere can switch to DirectTV to get the ACCN, nobody is going to hold out.
Obviously chickens/hatched and all that, but I think this pretty much means you can count on the ACCN launching with full carriage (or near full) just like the SEC Network did.

Agreed. A very smart strategy by Disney to get this done.
As for revenue, so far I've seen evidence pointing to the $3 million bump for this year (I think we'll know for sure after 2017 tax returns are made public), but no idea what rate the ACCN itself will get.

But Google Fiber is. I'm guessing they get a deal done without any hiccups.

I'm guessing the deal isn't done... yet.
It had better be.

RE: Hulu Live TV and Playstation Vue add ACCN
Months ago there was a story that came out with an update that said they'd signed all the streaming services. I assumed that meant all, and until today thought that included Sling and YoutubeTV and DTV Now. Maybe it was only Hulu and Vue.
I wouldn't worry about it, now that it's on Hulu and Vue...the others pretty much have to add it because its incredibly easy to switch services if they don't.
