RE: MAC Tournament
Nothing against Walker, but he is no Trevor Huffman.

I don't think Walker passing Huffman would take anything away from Huffman. Huffman was one of if not the best players on what will likely always be the best team in Kent St history. And he was a lot more than a scorer. Ultimately his days as the leading scorer are probably numbered. There was a 35 second shot clock when he played and teams didn't shoot threes with the same volume as they do today. Walker's a great scorer who has definitely made the team better. If he passes Huffman he'll do it in significantly fewer games than Huffman (18 fewer games right now), but he'll have taken significantly more shots (195 more shots right now). To me which one ends up on top doesn't change how I view either.
Ditto ... Different eras, different times.
Huffman probably would have averaged 20 with this team as well. As noted, Huffman played his career with a much better cast. Walker a far better rebounder and no slouch as a defender. Huffman considerably better with assists.
As noted ... the record is going to go. Walker no slouch to have it.
correct Walker is no slouch - he didn't get a lot of help in the backcourt against CMU. I love the four year guys - we've had some gamers - Huffman, Mitchell, Holt, McKee, Haynes, Sherman and Rod - just to name few.Let's hope Roberts joins them

Pantheon is way too complicated a word for me.
So how many gods are in a 'Pantheon'? If it's 10, Walker could be in. If it's 100, I'm sure Darren Goodson would be in.

RE: MAC Tournament
The MAC is off to a bad start as the men’s teams from Toledo and CMU lost yesterday.

He's probably their best player so with him and Ivey both out they'll losing 2 of their top 3 from a team that went 17-16. Here's some crazy numbers. As we all know Akron stupidly chucked bricks at an insane rate from deep this year. In conference play 46% of their FG attempts were three pointers which is a lot for a good three point shooting team. However, they only made 28.9% which is beyond horrible. What's even more alarming for Akron fans, Utomi led the team in 3 point attempts in MAC play at 7.2 per game but he was far and away their best shooter at 36.4%. Take him out and the rest of the team was 26.2% from three in MAC play.
Translation... Groce better pull a rabbit out of his hat during spring recruiting or they're in for another long year.
Didn't feel like starting a new thread on transfers but OU is losing Jason Carter who was likely their best player this year.

Kirk is leaving OU too. So they're losing far and away their two best players from a bad team. Their new coach is going to have his work cut out for him.
