Per the CofC message board, Riller has no desire to transfer, for now.

I think CofC and Northeastern have shown in the last two years that if you want to win the CAA bid, you have to play defense. We've got to continue to build on that from this year.

Returning Win Shares:

Northeastern: 14.9
Charleston: 14.5
W&M: 13.1
Hofstra: 10.3

None of the teams ahead of W&M are going to have empty cupboards next year, however W&M does return the most bodies.

All of the analysis is great. What we don't know is which teams will have impact freshmen. That could change the landscape a lot. If Tony brings in a grad transfer for the PG spot we need to know what we're doing at that position in 2020/21. Given our offense we can't have a PG who can't shoot/score. The only player who could graduate (from what I understand) is Milon. If he does graduate, he needs to find a masters program at W&M.

I really have a hard time seeing CofC stay even top half. They will have Riller, who is awesome, but part of what makes him dangerous was Brantley, who he wont have next year. I also think there is a decent possibility Earl Grant will get poached. They did use some young guys quite a bit, but how they progress with more focus will be a big question mark.

Hofstra will be talented, but a mess. Without JWF, Buie, and Taylor they will struggle. They have no bigs. Pemberton is nice and talented guard but he cannot hold that team up alone.

I had NU 4th but they could certainly be higher. The usage of Vasa concerns me for them. Green to a much lesser extent. They do bring back a lot but without Vasa they are a completely different team. I do expect Coen to figure it out as the season moves along.

I also think next year there will be some very talented teams in the CAA due to a strong crop of freshman this year, advancement of non freshman from this season as well as some strong incoming recruits.

CAA needs to get some sort of television deal for their tourney, the conference is run like a church league, having to watch all the games on the app, and then the title game is relegated to CBS sports channel is absurd.

I don't understand how lesser leagues are all over ESPN, even their semifinal games, and the CAA is basically North Korea.

If you're going to be on an app, at least link up with ESPN+.

I watched a couple for a few minutes on TV. Either CSN or NBCS. Didn't care enough to actually watch them but I know they were on TV.

We used to have our Championship on ESPN for years. I think they dropped us after they tried to force a different schedule time on our tourney so we went to NBCsports network. That worked well, football and basketball. Not sure the reason NBC collapsed but that was the real exposure loss for the CAA.

I read Earl Grant is a top name for the UR fire Mooney crowd.

Loewe definitely was improved by the end of the year but he's not a championship-level player at this point, and I think LJ is the better player. But if it's not a graduate transfer ready to take the mantle, then LJ or Luke or whoever needs to make meaningful improvements if we expect to really contend. No team in the league got less on the offensive end from any position than we did from the PG spot.
