If it was any of the other D1 schools in the state, the hammer would have already fallen. The coach would have been suspended, player suspended, NCAA would be all over campus looking at receipts from McDonalds. This will drag out, over the next 2 years, LSU will give themselves some voluntary post season ban when they are having a down year and the NCAA will shake their finger sternly. The only thing that is really a threat is that the FBI is involved and they don't take it kindly if you lie to them. What may happen is that Wade is either gonna have to lawyer up or spill the beans and pretty quick. Then they will dig into Smart and his family. Bet you don't see Smart on campus after this season.

It has been announced that in light of LSU's latest scandal, Mizzou will get an additional 1 year post-season ban.

The only thing Wade will learn from this ordeal is to offer more to the player himself and not to worry about mom or his kid so much next time.

It’s one thing when the NCAA comes after you, it’s a whole new ballgame when the FBI gets imvolved. When Louisville and Petrino were being investigated by the NCAA, they basically laughed at them and dared the NCAA to lay the hammer down, but once the FBI got involved, the University threw Petrino under the bus, fired him as quickly as they could, and begged the FBI to show mercy. Now that the FBI is involved, with tapes of the LSU coach, he is basically good as gone.

Wade is finished. He will be fired and may face jail time. LSU will get probation. The G5 programs in our state will be under extreme scrutiny for the next two or three years as the NCAA attempts to move the narrative away from LSU and onto some poor smuck that paid for a cup of coffee or something for somebody. Rest assured, somebody at La Tech, Tulane, ULL, or ULM will pay a price for the sins of Wade and LSU.
