Sudden 2019 pickup at the last minute! Video shows a tough, athletic, quick forward and, as others have said, a Pierce type. Not a ton of offers (all "B"s...Bryant, Boston U, Bucknell and Brown).

Appears we'll see him in school next week.

He has one skill that I really like. He can create his own space off the dribble to get an open shot. Great at pulling up off the dribble and in traffic.

NERR writeup stated Stone had just turned 18 and had grown 2 inches in the past year. Would be a nice plus if, at 6'7", his growth spurt was still in progress, with the skillset he has.

I think the addition of this young man will (hopefully) ease the loss ofPierce. I like this young man a lot. I always did!!

Great to get another commit for this year. Others are saying Pierce, I see more Omar. Pierce always finished his drives at the rim, where Omar got his shots from the strangest angles. Nice balance and form on his three-ball, though, which is very reminiscent of Pierce.

Appears to have been off the radar as was, until just now, classified as a 2020 prospect.

There is a lot to like about Stone's catch and shoot ability and his usage of the lost art of the mid-range game. Overlooked is his hops.

From what I read online, it appears that Thatcher would have actually been part of the 2019 graduating class of recruits but had decided to reclassify to 2020. But when his high school coach decided to take an assistant coaching position at ECU, he changed his mind about reclassifying.

Glad he didn't follow his HS coach to ECU.

Possibly. His stock seems to have skyrocketed since last season. Before he was viewed as a borderline D1 for 2019 that needed work. By the end of the summer he was one of the biggest risers and a coveted 2019 & 2020 midmajor target.

Dana and his staff have done an awesome job recruiting for this year and deserve accolades for their efforts!! Looking forward to how the team responds to the new new coaching staff against a challenging OCC road schedule. This team has an opportunity to raise eyebrows if they pull off some road upsets as we have a lot of untapped talent in our 3 transfer players and the possibility one of them will be all CAA.

RE: 2019 Men's Basketball Recruiting
I'm interested to see who gets redshirted. If I'm Dane, I'm in a total do over mode after Knight, VV, and the grad transfers take off. Hopefully we can balance the roster in terms of class with redshirts and Jucos. I think we'll see at least one other player transfer after this year too.
