SEC attendance is down. "Tennessee's best attended game last season featured almost 15,000 empty seats (vs Florida)." https://twitter.com/dennisdoddcbs/status...4295778306

When ticket prices are high, average income of the local population isn't, and the home schedule is loaded with cupcakes... what do YOU think is going to happen? That said, I see a trend in the Big Ten to follow the SEC lead, so...

You can't HAVE your golden goose and EAT IT too!

JMO, though... I'm sure someone will be quick to tell me how wrong I am.

Did you read the comments from "Horace" in that Tennessee link? Please tell me he's joking and I'm just missing the sarcasm.

To be fair, I don't recall ever seeing a chimney with crayons stuffed in it, either.

RE: Big Ten football attendance
This thread is a little misleading. 16 of the top 17 attendances?

Probably just means that Mich, Ohio St, and PSU each had 5 to 7 games that were in the top 17 in attendence.

But in terms of average attendance per home game, the SEC is still king.

RE: Big Ten football attendance
adding nebraska who draws well regardless theri record and Minny adding a hot head coach who has proven he can win which should boost attendance there will only drive the humbers up. Cats have had 2 greats seasons so expect the stands at Ryan Field to be near capacity nexdt year
