The Roost seems to hint that ATH Khalan Griffin might be committing this evening.
Offers from all three service academies, Texas State, and Georgia Southern along with lots of FCS schools.

Wow, the film is impressive. I know it's 3A competition but he looks twice as fast as everyone else.

Yeah, his team got blown out by Shelbyville (a 2A school-smallest 11 man classification)... but then they beat Albany, another 2A school. Bottom line-not great competition.
But he's fast on the track!

Whoops, I guess I was looking at Brock High School? Apparently he transferred to Brook Hill after his sophomore year at Tyler John Chapel (which is 4A).

Also, not great teammates.
Fair point-I’m not down on the guy-I think he’s a nice pickup. I like RBs from bEAST Texas and now we’ll have two on the roster in 2020.

After committing to Rice, I expect him to drop to 2 stars (at least). Outside of the obvious great players, those idiotic rating services often base "stars" on which schools are recruiting the individual.

I like FBs, TEs, and ATHs. They can play lots of places, which really helps when you're short of depth.

Our men's track and field coach (Jon Warren) recruits decathletes for the same reason - when you have 21 events in outdoor track and field, and only 12.6 scholarships (that must include cross-country, as well), it's wiser to have athletes who can score in multiple events.

More on Griffin.
In the 2018 bi-district playoff game, Griffin totaled more than 500 yards and accounted for seven touchdowns in a wild 56-50 loss to Fort Worth Christian. Griffin hit on 14 of 20 passing attempts for 275 yards with three TD passes and one interception. On the ground, the junior rushed for 274 yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries. Griffin's all-purpose yards totaled 549.
As a junior at BH, Griffin ran for 1,493 yards and 23 touchdowns. As a sophomore at Chapel Hill, he threw for 1,514 yards, 19 TDs and rushed for 1,018 yards and 11 touchdowns.
He finished second in the state 5A TAPPS track meet last week in the 100 meters (11.06)

Sounds very familiar of the running back, Ryan Moates, who played for Louisiana Tech and the Texans and went to high school at Bishop Lynch.
