Ready for this team to be Joiner and Jackson's
Igbanu will be important to, but next year this team will be led by Joiner and Jackson. The attitude will be different, their is a little of the waterbugs in them. They both got some fire to them and their competitiveness is off the charts. They want to be challanged, they have absolute faith in themselves and spark plug the whole team.

I'm excited about what that will mean for this team.

They could do some good. We get Horne back also, right? He could explode next year.

Yes, we lose D'MF'J and Tap, everybody else is back. We get the Greek who has apparently been quite impressive in practice, the little guard from Bakersfield who has done great against elite competition in summer leagues. I expect Falkoun to develope and be a decent big sub along with Hewitt. 10-15 min guys, trash points, solid rebounds decent defense.

I don't see us dropping off much. The issue will be the conference is going to be a monster next year with maybe UCF and SMU going backwards and everyone else taking steps up. Everybody returns just about everybody.

Sorry I haven't gotten back over here. It's been busy.

You mentioned the guard from CA. Isaiah Hill I think? I'm interested to see what he brings to the PG postion and how college ready he is. I'm sure Joiner will start at PG but I'd like to see the new guy push him.

Yes, I would actually pencil in the Greek and Hill as our starting/main pg. I expect Scott and Joiner to take on a more combo role next year. Korita and Jackson as wings, Horne playing a big three or stretch four. Martin's, Falkoun, and maybe a JC guy for our posts. If Hewitt sticks around I could see him being a fill this space type player for 15ish minutes a game. We need a big true post, rebounder and defender. We could also use a lights out shooter.

I think we see even more of a pace push next year as well, Taplin's game and size suit a slow down physical game. Joiner and Jackson seem more comfortable in the flow and Hill is a flat out go getter who seems to know when to be aggressive.

Watching the Memphis game, I firmly stand behind my assessment from earlier.

There is no killer instinct and no emotional drive in our two seniors leaders. I feel much happier about next years team. Igbanu is intense but has good control. Joiner and Jackson continue to develope and play with fire. Falokun showed some promise today and some I ain't taking nothing from nobody attitude. Hopefully all four can continue to improve and expand their game.

This is exactly how Ive felt for a while now anout them. Good players, but they just don't have that undying will to win.

It's good to have those players, you need them too, it's just difficult when both of the senior leaders are that. Joiner seems to be learning to harness his drive like Igbanu, earlier this year he let his emotions get carried away. I like Jackson's pure want too, whatever it is the team needs he wants to do. If he finishes perfecting his little mid range scoring ability he will be difficult. With his work/drive though, I can see him getting some range to go with that speed this offseason. We have a bigger Dante Swanson type if that happens and that can't do anything but help.

I'm hoping we can get some sort of post season. I feel Falokun can help in the post a good deal he showed some promise before the injury I think he just needs game minutes to really get going. Getting extra practice and playing time will go a long way. This conference is going to be brutal next year.
