As he should be. If they factor in his historic stat line, he should be the odds on favorite.

The 5 finalists :

Jessie Govan (Gtown) 18ppg/8rebs - (18-12 record 3rd in Big East)

Bruno Fernando (UMD) 14ppg/11reb - (21-9 record 5th in Big10)

Charles Bassey (WKU) 15ppg/10reb (18-13 record 3rd in C-USA)

Nathan Knight (W&M) 21ppg/9reb - (14-16 record 4th in CAA)

Ethan Happ (WI) 18ppg/10reb - (21-9 record 4th in Big10)

Should be Knight, my guess is they go with Sr Ethan Happ.

To be fair, it looks like Bruno has played in a ton of games which will help his stats even if that is not a very good record at all for the team.

I wasn’t initially aware of this but there seems to be a voting component to the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar award. So vote:

Did my part for the CAA and got my votes in for Nate and JWF.

Get the vote out guys. Don't let another fan base steal this award away from Nate. He deserves it.

Just an AWESOME article on Nate. Not only is he a beast on the court, he comes across as thoughtful, articulate, selfless, hard working and humble with his comments. In our social media world of today with athletes having the ME ME ME mentality, this is so refreshing!

Thank you Nathan Knight, for not only the joy you give us Tribe fans watching you on the court, but also the way you represent William & Mary!

Hey Jay and Charlie try this one on your broadcast....Nathan “The Big Silk” Knight!!!

Nathan will probably test the waters in the NBA spring trials like Wright Foreman did last year

He definitely needs another year of college ball. Whether at W&M or elsewhere is his call.

Agree he should not go Pro this spring and have great confidence he wants to return to help the Tribe Family breakthrough to go DANCING! Testing the NBA waters is good for both him and the Tribe.

Unless he is projected as a 1st rounder, he is definitely coming back. If for some reason they expect him to go in the 1st, he better go and take that guarenteed contract that comes with it. Did Nate graduate? I don't think he is on track to finish this year. Otherwise he'd have to sit a year if he transfers and I doubt he'd do that. Though I suppose he could apply for one of those bogus hardship requests that the P5 schools always seem to get.

I have not seen him projected to go anywhere in any mock draft, although it's not inconceivable he would be a stash second-rounder ask to play on a particular G-League or international team.

Would cosign the notion of him leaving if there's any reason to believe there's a good chance he'd have those guaranteed millions sitting in front of him, but I don't believe he does at the moment.

National Naismith HOF Awards Show is on ESPN2, from LA.

Zion Williamson won the Karl Malone PF award. Ja Morant won the Bob Cousy PG award. RJ Barrett won the Jerry West SG award. Rui Hachimura won the Julius Erving SF award. Ethan Happ won the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar C award. As expected, Williamson won the Wooden Award, as national POY.

All of the winners and living players that the awards are named after are there. I did not spot Nate in the crowd, so, assume only the winners there.

Great seeing Nate shown in the video of the finalists.
Have to stop and let that sink in that a W&M player is in this group. Congrats, again, Nate!!

Absolutely remarkable that the CAA had two of the 25 award finalists in Nate and Justin Wright-Foreman.

If Nate comes back, the upside for his final year is, also, remarkable.
