I don’t know of anyone who continues RPI past the conference tourneys. It’s a tool for tourney selection and that’s all. Frankly I don’t remember a MAC team with an RPI in the 20’s who wasn’t in the NCAA. I’ll be happy to be proven wrong though. I think the 43 is Toledo’s pre-tourney RPI and final RPI.

I did a little research and it looks like Toledo's RPI on Selection Sunday 2014 was 36 according to this article in the Toledo Blade:

So, I was mistaken about them being left out with an RPI in the 20's, but it looks like their RPI did drop to 43 after their loss to Southern Miss in the NIT.

Which we were then stuck with a 6 seed in the NIT and a road game at what some believed was a team that should have been a top seed
