Looks like Pistol Pete showed up and the Cougars got completely declawed. A 44 point loss is a bit embarrassing. It seems like CSU has totally given up based on the last two games.

IWoke and Josh, I admire the heck out of you guys. You guys are diehard fans and are there thru thick and thin. It’s easy for me to be a fan because we are winning. But you guys are legit. I really hope CSU turns things around soon.

They haven’t given up.. they’re just worn down as can be. Having one key player out is tough for anyone, but having two is back-breaking for a team that’s already not deep. Not sure what the status is of Jacobs, but they really need him back.

Thanks, Pojoaque. Hopefully within 2-3 years, Irvin can get this program competitive again like the first year in the WAC. We just need to give him, and the women’s coach (Opat), a chance to get in their own recruits.

Did not know you all had two key players out with injury. That makes a world of difference. I must admit I am only familiar with Shaw and Harris. Any prognosis on when the two injured players will return?

Jacobs—Best inside player. I haven’t heard any updates on him. He was pushed from behind in the SU game, and ended up needing help getting to the bench. Seemed to be a knee issue but havent seen anything about him since.
Bell- He’s their best 3p shooter and has started the majority of games, but didn’t play at NMSU. First game he has missed all year, but no reason why.
Dixon- Out for the year. Started half of their games his sophomore year, but has been injured all year.
Oliver- Freshman who had an offer from Georgetown, and was anticipated on being a key guard for them this year. Played two early games (last 11/16), and then shut down for the year.
Lots of walk-on minutes this year between Johnson, Reed, Witherspoon, and Odiase. Just hoping for some depth come next year!
