Really feel for SU. You never want to see so many injuries. Hopefully, you get everyone back by tournament play.
As for tonight's game, SU is playing well and up by two at halftime.

RE: WAC basketball week 13
Big win by GCU tonight on the road at CSUB, 72-59. Carlos Johnson had 20 points in 23 minutes off the bench. Bringing that guy off the bench has worked really well. That sets up the NMSU vs GCU clash next Saturday Night.

CBU beat a depleted Seattle squad 75-64. Seattle looks like they may be the #7 seed and if they get healthy before the tournament, they will be a very tough #7 seed. Being the #2 seed might not be a desirable place to be.

NMSU crushed Chicago State 83-39 on Fox Sports TV today. I watched parts of that game and it was not very interesting. Chicago State needs a roster makeover.

UTRGV knocked off UMKC 75-63 at home. UTRGV is now 12-12. There are currently only two teams in the WAC that have losing records (UMKC AND CSU).

Hayford just said in the post game presser Myles Carter didn't practice all week with the flu. He still played 38 minutes tonight. Just out of options.

Without any setbacks or more serious injuries, SU will be healthy for the last 3 games vs CBU CSUB and GCU.

It's pretty incredible to think about how lucky SU was to avoid this last year and this year in OOC play. Even before the injuries got this bad, losing Kavas alone exposed the depth issues

Congrats 'Lopes on the win.
I only followed casually as, my hockey team was in action at the same time. I haven't browsed the personal stats yet.

Nothing surprising. The 'Runners will never (or vary rarely) beat good teams as much as they foul in this manner, especially down the stretch. There are fouls that are necessary, but the 'Runners really commit a lot of careless fouls on shots they'd be better just letting follow the course and work for a rebound. Its irritated me for years; most of the Barnes era.

On the surface that looks good but he shot 6-24 to get his points. I still don't know how we lost to CBU. I'm still pissed about that game. Being undefeated at the halfway point would have been huge, especially next week when we face the toughest road trip of the year with CSUB and GCU. IMO would be a minor miracle if we sweep both those teams.

If it's close at half, you'll have a great chance, once the 'Runners begin their careless fouls. 03-banghead

Honestly it's a shame this team didn't come after the Big West move. They'd have a stronger chance of winning the Big West than WAC
