What on earth is going on in Arlington RN? ? They were dead in the water just a few weeks ago.

well they are all new to each other and the coach, so taking a long time to gel. the mavs have no size and started out with poor shooting and lots of turn overs. they have played hard on defense and started making more shots while turning the ball over less. higher scoring % per possession has made close games winnable. a cpl. players have battled some injuries too. it will be interesting to see how they do tomorrow at a refocused gastate.

It also didn’t help that they had the hardest non-conference schedule in the SBC. If I’m not mistaken, it was the 7th toughest in the country.

But hey, we played so many guaranteed games that we made up the loss in ticket revenue from the Cross firing.

It will take a lot of winning before the fans will forgive the AD. Even if the new coach excels and could be considered an improvement (which is yet to be determined), Scott Cross is very popular and is a legitimate home town hero at UT Arlington.
