#WACGivesBack Volunteer Opportunity - Year 2
Hey, All...
Another year brings another opportunity to serve the people and community of Las Vegas at this year's WAC basketball tournaments.
For those not familiar, a buddy and I decided last season that we would like to leave Vegas better than we found it when visiting for the WAC tourney in March. It made so much sense to us that we thought fans from other WAC schools might want in on it, too. We arranged a group of 10 people to go serve a meal to the homeless and/or most vulnerable in Las Vegas on Championship Saturday morning, and it was a great experience. The conference was also fully supportive, providing tee shirts and swag so the group could represent the WAC while we were out in the community.
We are doing the project again this year and, again, wanted to put the opportunity on everyone's radar. Most of you may not be going to Vegas for the conference tourney. If you are going, you may not be interested in rolling out of bed early Saturday morning for any reason. I totally get that. It is Vegas, baby! However, if any of you are going to Vegas and are interested in joining the project, we'd love to welcome new participants. Additionally, if you know anyone who will be in Vegas on that Saturday (regardless of how his/her/their teams do) and would be interested in serving with us, awesome.
Space is limited (again), but we would love to have a reason to put together a second service project, perhaps serving a different vulnerable population (animals?). Feel free to direct any questions or people wanting to participate my way. I can also be reached by email at gleadley@yahoo.com. Thanks for the assist ahead of time in connecting us to folks from your respective fan bases!

Thanks, LopesUp! We're still looking to add a few more to the group. Would love to have representation from fan bases that weren't represented last year (e.g. NMSU, Seattle U, Chicago St, etc.). Feel free to share around about the project!
