I can understand why outsiders would look at this whole gimmick and laugh. If this were something Eliah Drinkwitz were doing I'd probably make fun of it. But I'm okay with people laughing at it.

Chad Lunsford is a great motivator and player's coach and the players love this kind of stuff. Honestly, his style of coaching and management reminds me a lot of Dabo Swinney (not saying he's as good as Swinney, but just comparing them stylistically).

That Dabo's defensive linemen decided to stay with the team IMO speaks volumes, and similarly we have Kindle Vildor staying whose draft stock is already fairly high.

It should also be pointed out that GSU's legendary former head coach and program founder Erk Russell certainly had his own gimmicks (e.g. Eagle Creek) and that guy might be the all-time greatest motivator (maybe the all-time greatest coach whose HC career was cut short by his age) there was.

Folks forget... when Chad took over in mid-2017.. players on that team felt that would not win a single game that year. Chad had to come up with something to motivate those guys and get them fired up.
