The AAF is a minor league geared toward degenerate gamblers. Like horses in off-track betting, football is just a necessary incidental.

No thanks.

I went to the San Antonio game and had a blast and so did 25,000 others and I haven’t wagered in 25 years.

I encourage you to read the article. It is clear gambling is deeply woven into their business model and takes full advantage of a recent SCOTUS ruling. If the AAF survives, it will be due to wager dollars and not ancillary attendance or TV funds.

To each his own, but attending gambling centric minor league games at relatively high prices in freezing weather does not appeal to me. I’ll save my money for Tiger games and donations.

Let's see if it is sustainable. Lest anybody forget the last time a spring football league debuted 18 years ago, the curiosity factor died off pretty quickly...

I found frittering away money is not the path to early retirement.

Good luck.

Lol

So you think that because they have a gambling tie in you cannot watch without gambling?

Why do you think Tiger games have an opening line?

I tried to give the XFL a chance, and I could get over the gimmicky side of things, but the reason I quit watching after a few weeks was the football was terrible.

The on-field product of the AAF was actually decent.

Whether enough people keep watching remains to be seen, but without competition that the XFL faced from Arena Football and the NFL Europe, the AAF seems to be able to have a better product.

Football 52 weeks a year would be pretty nauseating.

Over saturation will and should kill all of this.

It helps that CBS has invested in the AAF.
