RE: Trevor Moore
And I do think Trevor is a better defender than Sanders so maybe that's not a fair comparison, but you catch my drift. Perhaps Kevin Johnson would be a more accurate comparison. Every team needs guys like that, although ideally you don't have to rely on them for 25-30 minutes per game.

Nah. Eff it. He's washed up. Cooked. Put a fork in him, he's done. Never gonna develop. He's been Quadri Moore'd.

I believe the popular term is "stiff"

RE: Trevor Moore
Sorry if I seemed harsh in my assessment. Sanders, Johnson, and Parker were all solid contributors for us, so I didn't mean it as a slight. I was thinking more along the line of what Cataclysmo said -- ignore the shooting and appreciate the fact that Trevor does the little things you need from a role player, even if he's not filling it up from deep. Moore has been a nice find, especially considering he wasn't even ranked in the top 300. Mick obviously saw a guy who could help on the defensive end, and knows there's at least the possibility of him developing into a really good outside shooter.

I think his form is too good to stay a bad shot forever. He'll likely be hitting a better percentage as time goes on.

Hate to say it, you guys were right. Hopefully Trevor ultimately proves his critics wrong, but he clearly has not yet.

Moore probably should not have seen the floor against Iowa. Question is, who should have instead?
I have a feeling we are going to like what we see from Trevor next year.

He confidence was clearly shot for the better part of the season but I hope he remains a Bearcat and works to improve his overall game over the summer. I still have faith in Trevor's career here.

RE: Trevor Moore
Every year we have players make a big jump during the off-season and early season. I expect Trevor to be one of those players next year. He plays tough and hard and is dedicated to doing every little thing he can to win. I think he's going to be a Justin Jenifer type who just keeps working hard and eventually that hard work will pay off. Trevor will most likely be the 5th starter next year and I think we will like what we see from him on the court.

He made 31% of 3pts last year. 27% this year. He was sub 40% in high school.
I hope he gets better, but am beginning to wonder how good he really is - or ever was.

Disagree
JJ never doubted himself.
By all accounts, Moore is the opposite of this.

Keith Williams should have just stayed in the game. I agree though I think Moore will be a solid role player for us next year.

The problem with this is that Keith Williams regressed late in the season and never got back on form. He sure has the potential that I hope he breaks out big next year.

Hoping his regression was just an inexperienced player hitting a wall.

RE: Trevor Moore
IMO elite shooters can shoot a high percentage off of a right hand dribble, left hand dribble, and spotting up.
Based on that criteria, thus far Trevor has been an....okay shooter.

RE: Trevor Moore
In my mind, I still see the several chances for Moore to take those open 3 point shot that he passed on. (especially from the corner against Iowa.)
He does not yet seem to possess that "Shooters mentality" that commentators love to talk about. It seems like he remembers that last miss all too clearly. I sure hope he gets past that.
Moore does a lot of other things well. Good position defense. Rebounds. Not many dumb turnovers. Does not dribble into situations he can't handle.
I am not a big fan yet, but he has the potential to turn me into one.
