I will say, I find the concept of gender neutrality problematic. Gender isn't sex, many of the proponents say, which is contrary to it's original definition Colloquially sex Male/Female has been gender since the word "gender" came into existence. In their mind it's expression... in that regard it would seem "gender" to them is just masculinity or femininity. Sport and the competitive drive is most definitely a masculine thing. Even when women are the participants.
When I hear gender neutrality these days, I just think of these pudgy amphibian, kids... the kind who wear thick plastic rimmed glasses and stocking cap like some depressed EMO version of Where's Waldo.
And it's unfortunate. Androgyny can be a beautiful thing. Classical Greek/Mycenean sculpture is an example.
I don't believe gender is all that relative/muddy. Male and female are gender. When a person is trans, they're usually trying to match a certain archetype of male or female. In North America though, we just have these unfortunate weirdos... They're ideologically far left and destructive to their own livelihoods. They're all doomed to be lonely old cat ladies.
I guess they could claim preference is more relative though. I'd gladly bang either of those two statues than them and one of them isn't even a hermaphrodite, Dionysus is just a feminine dude.
