It wasn't even kind of, lol. Dude was a 2 or 3 star, depending on the service. Period. I am convinced the author saw that graphic and mistook it for a 5 star ranking.

I think he was a 5 star on one site straight out of high school.

I couldn't find it anywhere. And that graphic could easily be mistaken as a five star, when it was actually 3. Based on his ratings everywhere else, even if that one 5 star site existed, it was bogus.

Plus, the author specifically said he was a 5 star on RIVALS. Well, no he wasn't. He doesn't get a pass for that.

TCU was calling him a 5 star. Multiple sites listed him as the number junior college player.

That said...his stars are how he is performing today. 5 star should be a dominating player.

Juco has nothing to do with a 5-star out of HS. And a TCU site calling him a 5-star could just be a circular pickup from the other article. I would want to see the actual rankings. If it existed, somebody should be able to find it somewhere. I looked on all the major services, and didn't see it.

I don't really care either way. I just found the Dallas article listing him as a 5 star for TCU. Maybe that was incorrect and it keeps getting used.

Maybe rivals downgraded him at some point. Here is another article calling him a 5 star.

Yeah, that's what I think. When the original dude got specific about Rivals, it was easy to check. I was just curious, but those sites probably don't fact check other sites they use as references.
