White comedian rejected for show in Montreal after dreadlocks deemed 'cultural appropriation'

MONTREAL — An aspiring Montreal comedian has been told he cannot take part in shows at a university bar because his dreadlocks are a form of cultural appropriation.

The Coop les Recoltes, a bar and solidarity co-operative at the Universite du Quebec a Montreal, confirmed on Facebook its decision to exclude Zach Poitras, who is white, because of his hairstyle. Poitras, denied a spot at the Snowflake Comedy Club and another evening of “engaged humour,” declined comment on the situation.

Why does cultural appropriation only work against white people?

So if they really want cultural appropriation to be a thing it's time to start banning other races from stuff white people created.

No more sports or movies for anyone who's not white. No more planes. Most clothes and a long list of other things.. goodbye if you're not white.

Because they are the "dominate" culture. Same excuse that only white people are racist.

They want diversity but not "cultural appropriation?" That's got to be one of the most asinine, hypocritical parts of the SJW code. And that's saying a lot.

I guess only Blacks can play Jazz. Maybe nobody can play rock-n-roll since its a blend of influences. Should Blacks be allowed to play basketball since a white guy invented it?

Im with you Paul. I can't stand it. Makes one look like a shiftless HoBo. If you come into my office looking for a job with them?...good luck to you. You will have to really sell yourself at that point because I will immediately have a negative impression of you. Same with crazy ass tattoos and long ZZ Top beards. In fact...anything I find distracting about your appearance is going to have an immediate impact on my attitude.

I had the long beard most of my life. Before ZZ Top was growing theirs. Got tired of people pointing and saying ZZ Top everywhere I went. Been clean shaven for a dozen years or so.

Still have all my tats though.
