Not to mention, it took Ga State how many years to LITERALLY win an FBS game. WHile we went into there EMPTY stadium in our first EVER FBS game and beat that ass.

I can't believe I'm about to defend Georgia State, but at least they've won a bowl game and basketball conference titles recently including one last year. UNCC hasn't done a single thing in football. Y'all don't have a winning record against a single one of your conference opponents. Also, y'all haven't won a basketball championship in 18 years and the last time y'all made any significant run in the tournament was OVER 40 years ago...

As far as major sports go, UNCC has absolutely nothing to hang their hat on and nothing that points to them being a favorite over Georgia State or really anybody in the next round of realignment. Sorry, but this is reality.

Charlotte is likely below ULM on the SEC expansion candidates list. That being said, we’re both somewhere between “not in a million years” and “not until hell freezes over”.

I get that standards for football at UNC @ Charlotte are low, but good lord.

Charlotte was up like 23-6 or something similar before a couple late scores by gsu. Again, it was our first fbs game and they were in their 3rd or 4th fbs year and still looking for an fbs win.

You do NOT want to argue basketball history vs Charlotte. Do you understand our history at all? Multiple at large bids (I know you sun belt guys probably aren't familiar with the term but come on....It tells you the true quality of a team), the 2nd winningest record and number of titles over a decade in cusa. Above Louisville, Marquette, Memphis and all others except Cincy. We have certainly struggled in recent years, but if you guys want to brag about your football history, then we can brag about our bball.

Charlotte has passed appy/ Marshall/ ga schools etc in everything except football.
