Head to head always trumps "whole picture/season." Especially when the head to head occurred less than 2 weeks ago and the away team won lol.

Get serious. North Texas fans are a special breed.

by that logic, you really think odu football was better than virginia tech this year?

you really think odu basketball is better than syracuse this year?

you really think purdue football was better than ohio state this year?

one game doesn't tell a season, a season tells a season

UNT was eliminated early last year. If Tech or UNT make a deep run in the tournament then I can assure you we'll have as many fans there as WKU or Marshall, probably more. UNT attendance this year has been good.

LOL... Yay. If North Texas makes it to the championship they MIGHT have as many fans as WKU/Marshall who had to travel thousands of miles to get there.

Just face it. This conference being so Texas centered is an absolute joke. Esp when the top/best programs are either in the East or used to be.

hate to tell ya, but bowling green, ky to frisco is 722 miles...huntington, wv to frisco is 997...

not exactly thousands of miles...yes, i understand that many fans don't live in those cities, but thousands of fans also don't live thousands of miles away from frisco that attended the conference tourney
I’m hearing you Thor. I just think that a city with a medium sized arena with up to date media capabilities would be awesome. 5-6K arena if that in, say, Little Rock, Huntsville, Biloxi, Pensacola, Jackson (if there is an arena there).

totally agree man...frsico and the dfw area just isn't a hardcore basketball area...i was just responding to the comment of thousands of miles of wky/marshall fans that travelled and had way more attendees than north texas/la tech folks

i went to the tourney in hot springs twice, back in sun belt days...those tourneys were awesome...dfw just doesn't support it, but idon't like folks making stuff up about travelling and their fan bases...no reason to lie about ****

Sorry. Didn't realize I had to explain that head to head trumps everything else when two teams are arguably even.

One game can definitely tell a season, and when one team beats another, that team is considered better. You think Alabama is better than Clemson?

I said Marshall and WKU would have to travel thousands of miles and would still have more fans than any of the Texas schools.

I don't know about you but when I travel I still consider myself as traveling when I am on the way back home.

Funny you try to deflect the conversation away from the pathetic "fan bases" of the TX schools.

The top 1/4 and maybe a few middle teams I can agree with you on that.

No way Middle Tenn could though. Two of MTSUs 3 wins are against a DII and NAIA school and the other is against Charleston Southern (7-9) the others wins are against DII Lee's McRae (5-13) and NAIA Milligan (12-5).

No one wants to lose a coach especially after you stand by that coach for a solid decade just to finally achieve success. I don't know many schools that would stand by a coach that went 16-16, 17-15 and 18-14 for 10 years straight.

MTSU nor CUSA can stand around and wait for another coach to learn how to coach the long way around again. Ive always thought MTSUs choice was the lazy and cheap route.

So much for that.

Maybe the west is just way worse than we thought. But seriously, very fluky win. May not get another all year.
