The nightmare matchup for Gardner continues. Only 17 points and 10 rebounds in the first half.

UCF did not finish the half very well. Can’t get lazy and let ecu hang around

They can't reach that high. They just need to keep fouling him and putting him on the line.

ECU was outhustled in the first half but now with their superior talent they will blitz the knights just like Memphis did to ECU

Kid is a player, he will be a college double double machine. He needs to improve his shot and ball handling considerably to become a true pro prospect. At the college level though he's smart, athletic, and great at positioning so his small size, which is less an issue than it would be in the professional ranks, is overcome by talent and skill.

Which is great for ECU because it makes it that less likely he leaves early

ECU does not match up well with UCF, but the intensity I saw from the Pirates in the Cincy and Memphis games is muted at least in the first half. It is difficult to get emotionally up three games in a row.

Here too their depth is an issue. We have seen SMU similarly struggle with a series of high caliber games closely grouped while they have been short scholarships.

ECU is greatly improved in every area they can be, the roster needs more bodies. Even two more solid 10-15 min a game players would give them enough to make and keep games competitive. They're gonna have some ups and downs till then though.

Tacko would be a waste of a draft pick. Imagine him trying to guard Tim Duncan or Jokic or Porzingis.

Garner has an uncanny ability to be at the right place at the right time on rebounds. He is not particularly physically imposing and yet he out rebounds opponents taller, bigger, and more experienced.

Gardner is the best freshman in the league and it’s not even close.

Better than Hinton, Johnson and who ever else.

Good win UCF. You are a very good team and ECU is just flat out undermanned.
