Great game WKU, Bassie hopefully goes to the NBA after this season, glad he wasn't injured on that knee bang. Hollingsworth is the truth, MU can't stop him since he showed up, great player. Herd was lucky tonight to win, but we'll take it. See you in 11 days, sure you guys at home will drill us and the tourney will tell the tale. GL Toppers going forward.

That was the best Marshall basketball game in some time... Maybe since the C-USA Championship Game last year 05-stirthepot. Good game WKU. 04-cheers

As Marshall started their final possession, I said to my wife "They're going to hit a 3 to go up by 1 with 15 seconds left."

I hate being right sometimes

Tops absolutely jobbed down the stretch. And 1 that cut it to two was soft as cotton. Walk on Bassey completely nonexistent. That being said, I wish Jared Savage would just leave. Never seen a bigger defensive liability play for wku in my life. Let an average freshman own him all night. Congrats Marshall, we will see you shortly in Diddle.

You referring to Kinsey as an average freshman? That is the most athletic guy on any court he steps onto, and is coming along in our system by leaps and bounds, literally. 42" vertical, I believe.

How f'n crazy is it that this game and the CCG last year ended almost the exact same way. Multiple point blank shots for WKU not falling in the final seconds

Kinsey is a good player and could be all league next season but Jared Savage is the worst defensive player in the league. There is a reason Kinsey had a career high.

Taevion Kinsey is far from average. That would be like me saying Hollingsworth isn't really that good, when I know he will give everyone he faces nightmares for the next 2 1/2 years.

Ive ask the same question that one of the announcers did. "How did Taevion Kinsey get out of the state of Ohio ?" The only Ohio schools to offer him was Ohio, Kent State and Akron. Every school in the MAC plus Wright State, Cleveland State and Dayton should have offered him.

WKU 69
Marshall 70
Final

Marshall Scoring:
Taevion Kinsey 23
Jon Elmore 21
Jannson Williams 12
CJ Burks 4
Rondale Watson 4
Jarrod West 3
Mikel Beyers 3

Monarchs sneak out of Miami with a one point win over FIU, 75-74, even though CBS sports alerted my phone that we lost 74-73.

I don't disagree that Savage couldn't cover him and helped his stat sheet, immensely. Kinsey is an asset even as a freshman and the fact that he is starting at all makes him above average. He's going to be (is) good one. That's all I was saying.

People that don't understand PPP always think we have no defense. Good teams score a hundred on us, win or lose. I guess we know what that means.

Amazing we lose another close game to Marshall.....We were in control of this game for about 38 min, our young team just cannot close out games right now.....11 out of 16 games on the road, I hope our guys confidence is not shot and we go back home and start playing better, but its been a brutal schedule to open up CUSA play after beating Wisconsin.......I thought Bassey was on pace for 30 but his injury first half took him out of rhythm combined with foul trouble....As far as last play goes was horribly executed...I had rather had ball in Hollingsworth hands and whatever he shot would have been better than what we go...I don't understand why at end of games the ball in not in Hollingsworth's hands...

I was thinking the same thing and hopefully shoot it with enough time to give Bassey the chance at a put back.

Good game Toppers and you all brought a decent crowd. Overall a good crowd for us. We had 7,687 there to watch a very important CUSA win.

Everything here is spot on.

I really really hope our fans show up for these next three home games because these players deserve it. It’s been a brutal road schedule to start the season with conference losses to top CUSA teams by 1 point and 3 points. But knowing our fickle fan base, I’m not expecting more than 5k at each game. Hope I’m wrong.

We will get 5k for the two F_U's.....Marshall game on MOnday night I am coming down for from Lexington......Weird game time on MOnday night, doubt will be a sell out but maybe 6k...OH by the way thanks CUSA for us getting Marshall at home last season on a Thursday and now we get them MOnday night at 9pm while Marshall has played us last 4 seasons at their place on Saturday.....Same can be said about MTSU minus last season....

I'm just gonna throw this out there: the clock operator at the Rice UTEP game might need to work on his/her reaction time.

ODU vs FAU Attendance: 1,578
ODU vs FIU Attendance: 829

Both schools are a joke and don’t deserve any consideration to be in future conferences.

Embarrassing

You might want to look around at some other attendance figures. It's embarrassing everywhere.
