This could be a great hire if Strong lets him call his own game and doesn't hamstring him. It's still not 100% clear to me that the stagnant offense was completely Gilbert's fault.

I didn't realize Strong hampered his OC, he's a defensive guy, would make sense to let his OCs run wild.

Missed this before. Strong's under contract for 3 more years. I would think the odds of him being USF's coach in that 2022 season are not high.
