Where is this info coming from?

They were all smiles touring Troy, the stadium, and taking family pictures.

Would you be frowning? What do you expect them to do?

I mean... look at Lane Kiffin...

I just think there are some dramatic/exaggerating Troy fans about his family, simply because Lindsey wasn't their first choice for head coach. Apparently Lindsey has been pining for the head coach job at Troy since Blakeney brought him on board in 2010.

Lane doesn't look excited at all in that video. Not one bit.

And a Chick Fil A, and a Cook Out. There's something new every time I drive through. Having Santa Fe Cattle Co. is reason enough for someone to want to live there. Also, if his wife hates troy then live somewhere else. I know plenty of people that live in Dothan and commute to Troy. Is Montgomery too far to commute?

I don't believe his wife ever hated Troy. The only one or two posters saying this here and at TroyFans.com are the ones who wanted Jon Sumrall as head coach and weren't initially a fan of Lindsey potentially being HC.

Montgomery is actually closer than Dothan. Live in Pike Road and you get the best of both worlds.

Desperation? This hire is going to come back to by us in the butt. He leaves when the first job offer rolls around.

Just like every other coach you could have hired.

Yeah, that's a +1...you guys had several successful one-and-dones, but maintained a winning program.

RE: It's official: Chip Lindsey is Troy's HC
Chip Lindsey makes most sense for us. He has way more experience than the other candidates we interviewed (who are only position coaches). He was off coordinator at Auburn and Arizona St, and Southern Miss. High School head coach for years, etc. Neal Brown also had a ton of Big12 and SEC coordinator experience when he came to Troy. You can't just hire a young position coach and make him HC right away.

Also, Lindsey is an experienced playcaller and great QB coach. He developed Nick Mullens and Hutson Mason. It was really important to replace XCNB with an OC/HC IMO. Of course, he also knows the area and has many recruiting ties.

I am an outspoken critic of Kiffin. However, I almost had a twinge of sympathy for him then I realized he brought it on himself and will screw up no matter where he goes. So, if you have to be held captive or live in purgatory I guess Boca is not a bad place.

2mil assistant spending money is huge! Good luck Troy. From the looks of it he appears to be a good hire.
