Also, it is normal for G5 programs to hold press conferences to announce hirings?

Just curious, because as we have now demonstrated to the world... Our Athletic Department doesn't like the media and doesn't do stuff like this.

we had a press conference to announce the hiring of our OC in Tyson Summer's second year.

It definitely isn't something that is done regularly though.

My guess is that with Blake being on the hot seat, they wanted to make a big deal out of it to show that he is making changes, to get some people off his back. Maybe? Just assuming here.

That’s exactly why they did it. Worked for a lot of folks.

Yep. Same guy. Wish we’d get off this philosophy but if that’s the way they want to go then fine I guess.

Aren't you the one that genuinely believed snocones would distract the players? Lmao.
That's rhetorical. That was definitely you.

You still don't understand that it sounds like.

But yeah, we screwed around and had a good time and had the same disappointing season we had the year before and the year before.

We screwed around in bowl prep and took it easy and had another disappointing bowl performance. Blake even admitted that was a screw up.

But yeah man, accuse me of thinking sno cones are bad. Screwing around is what's bad. Trending backwards and losing more conference games than the prior year before in 3 straight seasons is bad. Renewing contracts for guys that account for half of our assistant pool and then firing then a few months later and paying then to not work for you is bad.

But yeah man, I hate sno cones.

Yes and no. We really called this exclusively because of fan anger. Quiet changes would not go well. We wanted to hear an apology

We normally do a wrap up presser between the bowl and spring signing day. This one just had MUCH MORE attention.

New t-shirt for the fans. Snow cone icon with a red circle/slash on it?

And none of that had anything to do with snocones. Lol. But you had an actual criticism of it. I laughed greatly. You can admit that's ridiculous, or keep trying to tie it in to a "bigger picture" of slacking off. I'm good either way.

It’s always been a big picture issue to me.

Always.

You can try and paint it a different way but you’d be wrong.

That’s cool if you’re interested in making sure they know your on their side and you think they’re great coaches and wonderful people, but I’m not all that interested in anything except them taking care of business on the field and not acting like punks off of it. We get those two things down and I’m good.

This is the second time you've said the same thing to me. Lol. I've always been critical of the coaches.
It's your ridiculous flailing in tying in completely trivial non factors to the actual problems that I find absurd.
I'm wrong? Lol. Naw. You're wrong, and have been wrong in those instances. Your snocone comments were peak ridiculous, and no amount of reaching for some logic that would make those silly "snocones distract players" rational, is going to work.

You had some of the main, actual issues pegged. Then you went off the deep end with ridiculously nitpicky non factors being in your crosshairs.
You can admit that those were ridiculous comments that were the result of misdirected frustration from the actual issues, or don't. There is no spinning it to make it seem like it was rational, though.

If you can point out where I solely blamed Sno cones as the reason we underperform expectations annually under Blake Anderson I’ll rest my case and anoint you champion message board troll.

Since I’ve never said it was anything more than a microcosm of how he approaches the job I’m comfortable waiting this one out.

You want me to track down a post from August? Lol. Naw, I'm good. We both know what you said.
And I'm no troll. Just got tired of the season-long incessant complaining you exhibited every chance you got. With most of it being just absurd complaints.
Play calling? Sure.
Lack of discipline? At times appropriate to complain about.
But you know damn well your complaints went far beyond the actual issues.

I’ve not once complained about something that wasn’t 100% true. I’ve also not once complained about anything in their personal lives.

Once again, if you want to make the accusation then I trust you’ve got a link to share with us.
