I mean, nobody's ever going to replace Milton as a beloved QB for the Knights (spare me the Culpepper or Bortles discussion - MM's place as a UCF favorite son HAS to be secure), and Mack played well enough that I don't see Heupel alienating him to get one year out of Hurts.
If we're being honest, I can think of lots of schools that seem to be a better fit. FSU, WVU and Louisville all spring to mind.

Does Ole Miss need a QB ? Rich Rod is new OC and Jalen Hurts is basically a more athletic version of Pat White who did amazing things for Rich Rod at WVU.
those Pat White/Steve Slaton WVU teams were basically impossible to stop when they had the ball....I still have nightmares about them.

USF matched up very well against those teams. Beat them in 2006 and 2007 while holding them to a combined 32 points. Yeah, they were fast, but our defense was faster.

That, in a nutshell, was the full Jim Leavitt experience. No problem getting the team motivated for a showcase game (WVU, Auburn), but never had them ready for the week in/week out grind of conference play. During Leavitt's tenure, here was USF's record vs. conference teams while in the Big East
Cincinnati 1-4
Rutgers 1-4
UConn 2-3
Pitt 2-3
Louisville 3-2
West Virginia 3-2
Syracuse 5-0
He should go to one of the Florida schools if he's smart.
we pretty much own access to the NY6 slot and if hes in his final year he can go out with some style at least.
ucf can get a good year out of him and let MM rest or USF can just insert him at QB behind a semi-capable team.
with usf at least he will be in the headlines all year. i don't see charlie being successful at usf.
If he is a one and done..... UCFs offensive style of play can bloat his numbers and increase his draft stock. Maybe better than any other team out there.

They were an amazing duo. Still one of the best moments I have seen in Ficklen Stadium was ECU defeating #8 WVU 24-3 and keeping Pat White out of the end zone for the only time in his entire College career.

Think Leavitt's best ever season in Big East play was just a 4-3 record...and a team will never have much overall success if you can't win a conf that played just 7 games (or a team that first has to now win their division with 8-9 conf games).
I give credit to all the last 3 UCF HC...who all knew the #1 goal was to win the Division first...then hopefully a conf championship...and then a chance to win a top bowl game...none which could happen unless they won the division first.

Rumors out there that he might follow the Ex-Alabama OC to Maryland. Miami and Auburn need QB's too. I think he is from Texas so he will probably stay in the South somewhere unless Maryland guarantee's that he will be their starter for one year. Just my guess at this time.
Someone on the ACC board posted a tweet saying Jalen Hurts has "followed" a couple University of Miami people on Twitter. Perhaps he does go to the State of Florida, just maybe not Central Florida.
It's kind of sad, but free agency is pretty much the norm now in college football...

Just a reality mainly for QB's. Every team likes to carry 4-5 scholarship QB's on the team. Only one guy gets to play for most teams so we will continue to see transfers. In situation for a QB like Jalen Hurts the writing is on the wall that he will not start without an injury happening so I don't blame him. He might only have 1 year of playing QB left in his entire life so why sit the bench at Alabama when you can start some where else ?
QB's have figured it out to the point of making sure they graduate early so they can transfer their SR year without having to sit out if the opportunity presents itself.
