I agree that a young and 11-2 Cincinnati should garner more respect, but how they're perceived now isn't as important as how my Bearcats rank at the end of the 2019 season. Frankly, I'd rather that next year's opponents (especially Ohio State) ignore or be dismissive of them and then get a rude awakening on game days.

That would be much easier if you could ever get Ohio State to play Cincinnati in the SEASON OPENER. Once they see the Bearcats play UCLA, they'll be ready for you guys.

And easier still if we could get them to play UC in Cincinnati. The only time they did so in the modern era (2002), they were lucky to escape with a 23-19 win in a very close game. Ohio State fears nothing more than losing to an in-state opponent, because it would shatter the illusion they've tried so hard to foster that they're THE Ohio State University.

So what kind of deal did you have to give tOSU to play you? A 3-2 ? I remember many years ago, you did a 3-1 and I thought that sucks, Cincy isn't a MAC school, they're not that far behind tOSU that they should have to give up 3 away games just to get 1 home game but you do what you have to do. I can see why Cincy has to get tOSU on the schedule. It's why UCF should do whatever it takes to get FSU, Miami or Florida on the schedule.
