I think 'Nickle missed tonight's game...

Tough call on the trey. JT4 had 4 (!!) fouls and was afraid to foul. Instead, he didn't... And BSU made a trey.

Minnie, who has been brilliant, left the shooter to close out on...Tajai Teague, who’s not great from deep. Killer.

At least we now know this team does have some heart.

Crazy win. So much to digest, but one of the better wins that I can remember. We answered every time it looked like the game would slip away to us. Kudos to Paul Jackson, who looked great in the extra periods.

That look on JTIV’s face at the buzzer was awesome. So glad they finally got to see a reward for a tough game.

Man, we needed this win with a lot of heart, guts, effort... and on the road, too.

So we have played UB and @BSU and are 1 - 1. No problem... :)

And we are tied for the #5 seed in the tourney. :)

Nice win in double overtime 84-82. I had a feeling Eastern was going to win tonight. As alum93 said, they did show some heart tonight. Should make the bus trip home much easier.

I truly do not know what to make of this team. But hey, I'll take the wins

Given they played the #24 Buffalo and #49 Ball St home and away, absolutely coming out 1-1 is where we would expect to be... if we were a similar caliber team.The non-conference was dismal. But the MAC season is right where we want it to be. At least early on.

Great win! Honestly, the first full game I've watched since UDM, as sad as that is to say. I'm glad I tuned in!

I missed most of the game but caught the OTs. Nice, gritty win.

He did look great in the extra periods as did the whole team. There was so much room to maneuver for everyone. I will say no more.

I am not superstitious, but I recall in the past that when Nickle gives up on a season things turn for the better.

Yep, exactly. And kudos to Murphy for continuously running double high screens to give Jackson an open paint while Thompson rolled to follow the shot. It really plays into both guys’ strengths. Hopefully we see more of that going forward, even when Toure is on the floor with Thompson. Anything to get both guys out of the paint.
