Four of them from the same 2 people. There is just no interst in college football games that are not part of the highest classification of the sport.

Personally, I would have more interest in watching an App State vs Boise for a G5 Natty then watching another P5 CFP. It gets old knowing only a handful of programs will be considered eligible largely based on tradition before the year even starts.

This^^^^^^, the time has come. G5’s, even the great and mighty AAC will never get in the final 4.

Move them a few hundred miles East and I think the MAC would talk.

Knock yoursleves out. Four non-power conferences can duke it out for the "new FCS championship". The AAC will refuse to be involved in something so suicidal. The AAC instead will continue grinding away---working towards the access bowl and trying to slowly build a case for better access to the only playoff that matters.

If the heavy hitters that have since moved from the FCS to the FBS in the past two decades were still in the FCS, NDSU wouldn't have their record number of national titles. The FCS has become a watered down league with no real competition in the division left for NDSU.

Looks like the FCS title game didn't draw many viewers. Had the lowest rated game in a long time and the third lowest attended game since coming to Frisco after 2009 with the fans having a month to plan for the trip.

Haven't seen the numbers from Sportsmedia Watch.

But the NCG is the second-lowest watch game in 11 years for a championship game.

Could be two fold problem for both FBS and FCS games. NDSU returning again as well as another Ala-Clem matchup. Then the decline of subscribers from Cable and Satellite. ESPN each quarter loses the number of households they are in.

says rating of 0.64 and 1.004 million viewers.

This story from Grand Forks Herald closes with a table of historical NDSU ratings data, including some title games I hadn't previously had.
