Many teams in this conference can beat anyone any given night. It's going to be exciting to watch as the season unfolds. WKU has put their self in a hole but they have the talent to turn it around real quick.

Not sure it's going to happen this season. This team has too many problems. Not sure I have ever been this disappointed in a team.

WKU fans have been questioning all season, at this point I know I have seen enough, we are not very good and going nowhere this year...When we lost to Indiana St. that pretty much told us all we needed to know....

My post was mostly meant to be a compliment to WKU rather than an insult to UNT, but I can see how it could be taken the wrong way to a UNT fan. When WKU wins (for example, when they beat a ranked Wisconsin team) you don't see them posting about how they are the best team in the conference. On the other hand, UNT wins all their games except the one difficult one and their fans are literally suggesting they are the best team in the conference. See the difference?

I don’t read every single post on this board so maybe you’re right. This thread was started by a WKU fan. I’m having a hard time finding post where UNT fans claimed to be the best in conference. Is it because all UNT fans placed themselves first in the conference rankings thread? I would do the same if my team had the best record and computer rankings in the conference.

Agreed. If someone's gonna start a thread asking people to rank teams, they shouldn't take issue with someone ranking their own team highest if even the NET system has them highest. It shouldn't even matter how many, if any at all, from other C-USA schools ranked UNT up there. People aren't always gonna agree on things, but just because someone thinks their own school is the best so far at some point in the season, it doesn't mean they're bragging or conceited.

And btw, the good teams win the games they're supposed to. So despite UNT having an easy OOC schedule, they won the games they should've. I look at UTSA, and we still have a way to go there, because we lost a game last night that we should've won, and it wasn't the first time this season that happened either. After our 4-0 conference start, I mentioned in a comment on one of these threads that I still had at least 3 or 4 teams above us because I still wasn't convinced yet. And sure enough, we played like crap for 3/4 of the game against MTSU, and found ourselves down by 21 with 10 minutes left to a team that had lost 13 straight coming in, before we woke up. Too little, too late though, and you just don't see the best teams letting themselves fall that low for that long in a game, maybe just a half at the most. So we still have some improving to do.

I don't have an issue with the rankings in the thread I created. That would be pretty stupid of me and a colossal waste of time. Hell, even a Rice fan put their team #1. It doesn't really matter.

My point is its night and day with how WKU fans here treat winning vs UNT fans here. This thread was created by a WKU fan... I guess I'm doing a terrible job at explaining myself today so I'll just stop.

If you compare the two schools history in basketball it’s night and day. I believe last season was the first time they have ever won a post season game. I understand them and don’t mind them enjoying the ride. I don’t know how I’ll react if UTEP ever starts winning football games. Hopefully you guys have patience with us if some of our fans get carried away.

Home court advantage this season is massive, a couple of teams drew the majic straws when it come to schedules this season....everyone has been good a home
