There's been a drive failure on the server. We're running in degraded mode for now but if we lose another drive that's a wrap. So I need to get in there and take the site down long enough to swap out the failed drive, migrate data over, then swap out the other old drive, and restore the RAID array. The site can be up for some of this work, but there will be outages from time to time as reboots happen. Also, I would expect the site to operate a bit slowly being under such heavy load from the disks being brought back into sync.

I emailed this site's admin. CSNBBS' tech does not support Tapatalk and the admin is surprised it still works. I believe he is currently developing a site specific app. I cannot access CSNBBS via Tapatalk but I can through my web browser. I hope something reliable is in place soon.

I'll try to get Tapatalk working again, but no promises.

I used to have a CSNBBS app downloaded on my phone but it didn't work well. With the Tapatalk issues, I went to my app store to see if the CSNBBS app was still available and found nothing.

My use of this site will sink DRAMATICALLY if Tapatalk (or some more usable function) doesn't work. About 90% of my use of this site is via my smartphone and the browser (even with the archive site) just isn't a viable solution.

I suspect I'm not the only one that feels this way.

I'd venture to guess that upwards of 75% of people access CSNbbs by smartphone app. Trying to access the site on a mobile device through the standard website is clunky and a pain in the ass to read.

This desktop version on my phone is awful

To my point.. this is my first time here since almost 48 hours ago. Normally I am checking in at least 4-5 times a day.

I'd be very curious to see usage statistics for the site.

This is a huge problem for me also.

I have always used the desktop version. I guess doing so highlights my unique blend of passion and stupidity.

I'm with you brother. I'm constantly "zooming" with my fingers just to reply/post, let alone all the moderation options, etc.

For now it is broken. I've got a support ticket in with Tapatalk as I've exhausted all ideas and cannot get any errors out of Tapatalk or the server itself, but I don't have access to the client logging which they would. Maybe it's a bug in Tapatalk.... maybe it's something weird here. To be determined. But Tapatalk support should eventually come back ... but it takes Tapatalk 72 hours to respond to each email. So don't expect a breakthrough immediately... but soon.

Forget about Tapatalk...ain't gonna happen. The site admin is working on something called Aurora...I had to check the JMU forum for that nugget.

There's another option. Stay tuned.

That is just horrible planning by the csnbbs admin. Mobile optimization should task #1 when designing a message board. If not Tapatalk, they needed to have a working backup plan. The scaled down lite version is readable, but nonfunctional. RIP csnbbs

It is a confirmed bug in Tapatalk preventing the threads from displaying properly. They will fix it in their next release. No ETA on that. But it is indeed a problem on their end.
