I was surprised that the NC State's contingent at the Gator Bowl was larger than TAMU's. I know a lot of folks decided to forego the trip when Harmon and Pratt announced they were not going making our underdog status worse, however it's 870 miles from Houston and 450 miles from Raleigh.

I read a comment where the 200 level for NC St was less full than TAMU. Was that a mistake?

How many NC St fans you think traveled?

The Jacksonville paper reported that ticket sales for the game were greater than the last two years so a lot of folks just didn't show up. All things being equal, more NC State folk would have first hand knowledge of the Gator Bowl and tend to hedge their viewing bets by sitting in the lower decks even if they move off the 50, due to fog in the past.

Although down from the prior year, I thought the attendance at the Military Bowl was very good considering it was played in pouring down rain in 45 degree weather.

Was it that warm? It looked hideous. Kudos to the fans that stuck around.
Cincy would look good in the ACC...hope it happens some day. You guys are not as delusional as UCF fans and have been around the game for years.

RE: 2018 ACC Bowl Attendance
The Sun Bowl actual attendance was disappointing. There were two well known teams but neither are noted for huge traveling fan bases (but El Paso isn't the easiest to get to) and the local community usually supports it better. The Sun Bowl is on my bowl bucket list.

You guys would love the renovated Nippert Stadium and the renovated Fifth Third Arena (basketball). About $160 million in combined improvements. Nippert is the Wrigley Field of college football and the renovated basketball arena has unbelievable fan amenities. Alas, we miss the old Big East-era games against UofL, 'Cuse and Pitt.
