Hope he finds success.. how does his transferring relate to the opening of a scholarship? Would that open another spot in this 2019 class?

He's only a sophomore. I guess you're saying that if he goes to the MAC he'll have to sit out a year and then have one final year to play?

Not that I have any inside info, but fwiw he has one brother at Coastal Carolina and the other has committed to Elon College to play baseball. Could see either of those or possibly Ohio Dominican, where his older brother played. The Ohio Dominican staff are tight with CLF.

Disappointing. His only other offers were 3 MAC schools. We're only losing 2 LBs to graduation (1 starter) so I guess he just doesn't seem himself earning a spot with the youth in the line backing corps. Wish him well wherever he winds up.

Could be. Still surprised he's transferring with two years left. He played in all 12 games this year from what I could gather. Obviously Young, Wright and White are back next season. And then Dublanko and Potts also played in every game as well (some of that could've just been special teams). Guess I just would've thought he still had more time to compete for more significant PT.

It's a little interesting given we do not have a lot of lb depth, but maybe that is an indication of some moves upcoming.

We have 12 on the roster.

2 - Sr.
2 - Jr.
3 - So.
5 - Fr.
2 - Signed recruits

So I'm guessing he see's he's at the bottom of the 3 sophomores (White/Dublanko) and possibly passed by freshman (Potts/Bolden (who can still be redshirted), plus more coming in.
