RE: Conference Priorities for Football in 2019
Just follow my TagLine. As far as prioritizing, We need to retain all of our bowls and get one more tie-in somewhere. We definitely need a better TV deal but who knows how the tv thingy is gonna work out? She’ll probably ass those things up just as she’s done since she began as commish.

La Tech visits Texas. UAB visits Tennessee. USM visits MSU and Bama. Marshall visits Boise and hosts Cincy. Nice! FIU visits Miami? Interesting timing. We have chances to make some noise in 2019.
UM @ FIU. It will be a FIU home game in 2019.

UNT has the right schedule next year. ACU (FCS), at SMU, at Cal, host Houston. If Littrell has been able to fill in some blanks with his recent recruiting successes, there's no reason to believe he can't win all four of those. Preseason top25 shouldn't be too difficult of a push?
So you think the 3rd place team in the west that loss 3 out of their last 6 games. Got the dog **** kicked out of them by Utah State, 39 points....
should be ranked preseason?
Tell me this, when was the last time a CUSA team was ranked preseason?

Rice will be happy with 1-3 in the non-conference, as we will be underdogs in all four.
We play @Army, Baylor, Wake, and Texas (quasi-home game @NRG).
Our best shot at a win is home vs. Wake, I guess??

Prioirites:
1. CUSA Champ in the NY6 Bowl
2. CUSA Champ in the final Top 25 in All Year End Polls
3. Winning record in All OOC Games
4. Winning Record against all Non-Cartel/Non-Conference FBS Opponents.
5. Authorization permitting Regional TV Broadcasts of any games not otherwise designated by CUSA for Traditional TV.
6. Fire Judy.
I'd be happy with one of these.

RE: Conference Priorities for Football in 2019
This conference needs an identity, our teams need showcased and promoted...
CUSA often has had high octane offense and plays better defense than we get credit for—-do anything to push the brand of football.
Also, may need to work with the Sun Belt to redistribute our teams, too long of time between playing the teams in the West, while Southern Miss vs Marshall should happen every year.
We should also adopt an OOC schedule arrangement, do something with the AAC and MW to play our whole conference vs them, best teams vs each other top to bottom in order of ranking system.

RE: Conference Priorities for Football in 2019
win ooc games
fans not complaining about paying $5 a month to see their team play...even if its only 1 game. Not while the rest of us are spending $30 dollar on a ticket, gas getting to the game, some driving 15 minutes while others a couple hours
more fans showing up to watch 6 (or more) CUSA teams play in bowl games than a 7-5 Iowa St had in San Antonio
Fans that watch more than 1 half of their bowl game
fans that watch more than just their school play
More than 2,000 fans watch the games shown on Facebook....fairly sure more than double that spend more time on facebook daily
Fans stop bitching about games being on 3 to 5 different platforms....its not like you dont know how to click a button on your mouse to find it. It wasn't but a few years ago your complain was...why cant we get more games on espn3
Do all of the above and maybe, just maybe, some network might be willing in invest in this conference. It would take the best snake oil salesman in the world to make someone invest millions of dollars and TV hours till the above problems are fixed. Hell we are suppose to be the hardcore fans
You get the juice by winning in Sept and Oct....not mid Dec to Christmas. No one cares by then

My goal is for UTEP to win an OOC game for the first time in two years. We should be able to do it with Houston Baptist and NMSU on the schedule next year.

Although we return all of our skill players on offense, it isn't all sunshine going into next season. We will be losing a ton of production from our defense, and we need to shore up our notoriously weak O-line. I don't know how many of our high school recruits will be ready to see the field next year, but we did land some juco players to plug into holes. I'm sure some will pan out and some won't. Just seems to work that way. A top 25 ranking would be nice, but still unlikely. I'd be very happy if we are sitting at 3-1 after finishing our OOC schedule.
Depending on Houston's coaching change, you're likely to be the underdog in two of your four OOC games. Could finish that slate from 1-3 to 4-0 it seems.

It would be nice if more athletic departments worked harder at developing larger fan bases. Winning should do that, but it seems that has not worked at some of our institutions.
As for the $5 a month, I won't pay it. I spend big money on my season tickets, and all the other North Texas merch. I even drive 2 and half hours to get to those home games. When ESPN wants to air our games on TV, I'll be glad to watch.
Again, if our commissioner can't get us a real television deal, then turn the rights back over to our universities. I trust our AD at North Texas could get us a media deal that would at least have our product on a regional network, and for more then the crumbs MacLeod has signed this conference on for.

Really? $5?
We need CUSA fans watching, recording, replaying CUSA games.
It’s great that we are fans of our own teams, but we need to be fans of all teams in CUSA.
Eyeballs move the needle. I auto record all things CUSA.
I end up watching some great games.
Like the WKU vs ODU football game.
Just wow!
If you really want to advance CUSA, pay the $50 and tickle the schedule to play CUSA games!

It will be a cold day in hell before you see UNT on espn, unless its a away game vs a SEC school.
So keep that $20 in your pocket (Sept-Dec) but dont blame the conference for the ****** TV Deal. As I said before...
Iowa St had more fans to travel to south tx than CUSA had at all of the conference bowl games. UNT fans dont mind driving 25 minutes but they wont drive (or fly) to any other bowl game. I guess if they are like you...
wont pay $20 to watch a road game or two, or three, or four and other conference games.
That's what the conference is working with...
