Local television sports coverage of the Military Bowl - FOX19 the clear winner
From what I can tell, FOX19 was the only local station to send someone to cover the Military Bowl.

I saw a report by Jeremy Rauch from the stadium on their news last night.

This city doesn’t cover sports well, in general. These message boards, like this one and Redszone, are 1000x more helpful.

Agree. Read the Athletic- Justin Williams, a relative newcomer, reads like a puliziter prize winner compared to the folks writing for the fish wrap. The Tv people are a joke.

What's the better feel good story - UC winning or Marv gerring canned? I know my answer but I don't think local media feels the same.

UC hands down. Marvin being fired is only one piece to the disaster called the Bungles. Brown family are still the owners. No real GM. Facilities are atrocious for NFL fball. Awful product all around. You will not hear this from the local media.

The point is I was just glad to see one local station actually send a representative to the game to cover it. I was not expecting it to happen.

It's cheaper to get a daily print subscription to the New York Times or Wall Street Journal delivered to your house in Cincinnati than it is to subscribe to the Enquirer.

And the Enquirer is actively trying to force readers away from their print subscription. Amazing, given that the obituaries section probably gets more readers than any other (especially given the demographics of newspaper readers nowadays).

UC Winning because you can't say Marvin leaving is a "win" yet. Remember, Dave Shula started out 3-0... Then Bruce Coslet, then Dick LeBeau...

With Marvin, better the devil that you know than the devil that you don't know.
